In line with the aspirations of a Liveable Malaysia, the *4th National Physical Plan* launched on 17 November 2021 will be the basis for the implementation of the evaluation and measurement system of urban well-being and sustainability known as the *Malaysian Liveability Index (iDAM)*. iDAM led by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) through PLANMalaysia (Town and Country Planning Department) is a high-impact measurement method that will measure the level of well-being of residents at the local authority and community level. The development of iDAM is in line with the measurement and evaluation of the well-being of the residents of a city that is practiced at the global level.

The results of the iDAM measurement will help in providing an up-to-date picture of the *level of well-being, standard of living and livability at the local, state and national levels*.
