A discussion with representatives of the Sebarau Rural Village Residents Association related to the drainage system problem was held by the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) on 14 January 2022 at the Sebarau Rural Village Park, Hulu Yam Lama.
The discussion which started at 9.30am was also attended by representatives of the Irrigation and Drainage Department (JPS) of Hulu Selangor, the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning Department (JPSPPA) of MPHS, representatives from the developers and the Engineering Department of MPHS.
The purpose of this meeting is to resolve the issue of complaints raised by the residents regarding the overflow of water from catchment ponds that are not maintained. In addition, there was also a discussion related to the maintenance issues provided to the residents by the government.
Regarding the catchment pond issue, JPS Hulu Selangor has been able to solve the issue by carrying out cleaning work in the catchment pond. The pool could not be maintained before because the handover process had not yet been completed by the developer.
