FOOD BANK PROGRAM 'LET'S SHARE WEALTH' UNDER THE STRATEGIC COOPERATION INITIATIVE MDHS - PRIVATE TOGETHER WITH MR. DIY TRADING SDN. Ltd.
Following the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0 that was announced earlier, the Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) has implemented the 'Jom Kongsi Rezeki' Food Bank Program under the Strategic Cooperation Initiative of MDHS - Private with MR.DIY Trading Sdn. Bhd.ÂÂ
The handing over of donated items was delivered by Mr. Nur Saiful Azly Mohamad Zin, Assistant Manager of the Human Resources Division, MR. DIY Trading Sdn Bhd to the representative of MDHS, Mr Mohd Norazif Ahmad Tamsis, Director of the Management Services Department located at the MDHS Branch Office in Bukit Sentosa on 31 July 2021.
This program is a collaboration within the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative from the private sector to help ease the burden of the affected families.
Through the implementation of this initiative, MR. DIY Trading Sdn. Bhd. agreed to donate to 171 families around the Hulu Selangor District which covers all races in the form of food and health needs such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, sugar, biscuits, sardines, soy sauce, vermicelli, dried chillies, anchovies, face masks and hand washing soap .ÂÂ
In addition, Kijang Gold Cooking Oil Company also donates 2kg of cooking oil to each family in this program.ÂÂ
The initiative was taken by MDHS in helping the population affected and experiencing hardship due to the Covid-19 Pandemic in addition to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 through the 'No One Left Behind' approach.ÂÂ
The focus of this program is to achieve the goal of SDGs 1 which is No Poverty, SDGs 2 Zero Hunger and SDGs 3 Good Health and Well Being.
A total of 63 donations were distributed today in three areas namely Bukit Beruntung, Bukit Sentosa and Rasa while the rest will be distributed in stages.ÂÂ
MDHS hopes that other corporate companies will also contribute and establish corporate relationships in line with SDGs 17, namely Partnerships For The Goals, which continue towards Sustainable Development.
