Mr. Chairman of the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council, Mr. Mohd Hasry Bin Nor Mohd paid an official visit and courtesy visit to UMW Aerospace and Serendah High Value Industrial City. This visit was also attended by the MDHS Director and Head of Department. This is the second official visit of the President to meet the main investors of the Hulu Selangor District as well as to see and monitor the development carried out by UMW Development Sdn. Bhd. The MDHS delegation was welcomed by Mr. Mohammad Azili Samad, Head of Business & Program Management UMW Aerospace Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Eric Chew Kar Kean, Group Director, UMW Development Sdn Bhd and top management of UMW Aerospace Sdn. Bhd. and UMW Development Sdn. Bhd.

In the welcoming speech of the President; he congratulated UMW Development Sdn. Bhd. for successfully developing the Low-High-Value Industrial City area. In addition, he is also proud that with the existence of UMW Aerospace Sdn. Bhd. in Serendah has placed the Serendah name not only at the national level but also at the international level in the aerospace industry. The President also requested that UMW and MPHS can cooperate in organizing social and community activities.

The delegation was briefed by Mr. Mohammad Azili Samad related to the background of UMW Holdings and the operation of UMW Aerospace Sdn. Bhd. and then a briefing on the progress of the High Value Industrial City development by Mr. Eric Chew Kar Kean. The delegation was also given the opportunity to see for themselves the assembly process of the aircraft engine casing, the UMW Innovation Center next to the project site.

The visit session was also attended by YBhg. Dato' Abdul Rashid Musa, Group Chief Mobility & Innovation Officer/President, Aerospace Division who gave views and discussed with the President and the delegation in developing the aerospace industry and the Low-High Value Industrial City in the future. The tour ends with a momento exchange session. The MPHS has presented a drawing of a Black-and-Yellow Broadbill drawn by a participant in the drawing competition Wings Of KKB: Selangor International Birds Fair 2021 Nur Aisyah Adilah Binti Ahmad Shahril Akmar as a promotion of the annual program Wings Of KKB: Selangor International Birds Fair organized by MPHS.
