MDHS AMONG THE FOUR SELANGOR MUNICIPALITIES EARLY USERS OF THE SELANGOR SMART DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE INITIATIVE
ÂÂ
The Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) today received an award as an early adopter in conjunction with the Smart Selangor Digital Infrastructure Initiative Launch Ceremony which was organized by the Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU).
The appreciation ceremony was held live at the BSN Tower Multipurpose Hall, CUN Shah Alam, Selangor on 16 April 2021 which was officiated by YAB Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari, Dato' Menteri Besar of Selangor. The Hulu Selangor District Council was represented by the President, Tuan Dr. Mohd Azhar bin Mohamed Ali to receive the award.
This ceremony was held to appreciate the efforts of Local Authorities (PBT) in mobilizing digital transformation for the public sector in Selangor and MDHS is one of the PBTs that are committed to enabling online applications.ÂÂ
For the record, MDHS has started using the Selangor Gigabit Network (SeGNet) internet network starting at the end of 2020. The SeGNet network helps the council a lot in virtual / virtual meetings where it is easier, not face-to-face, saves costs and enables more effective and efficient online applications by MDHS staff. This matter is also in line with the Selangor Smart Agenda under the Smart Digital Infrastructure domain.
SSDU is the main implementer that has been mandated by the Selangor State Government to implement the Smart Selangor Program. SSDU launched three Smart Selangor initiatives that were completed in 2020, namely:
i) Selangor Gigabit Network Internet (SeGNet)
ii) Smart Selangor Hybrid Data Center (SSDC)
iii) AWS Cloud Computing (Amazon Web Services)
Thank you and congratulations to all parties who have been involved either directly or indirectly on this award. MDHS hopes that the Selangor State Government can provide various facilities and services based on the internet for the benefit of PBT and residents for free.
