SHAH ALAM, APRIL 9: The Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) has partnered with Touch n' Go Sdn Bhd in an effort to support cashless transactions.
The local authority (PBT) said at a ceremony held on Wednesday, Touch n' Go representatives were invited to give an online briefing to traders.
"MDHS previously as a pioneer of a cashless society strongly encouraged all merchants to use e-wallets as one of the transaction methods," he said in a statement on Facebook.
Earlier, the PBT launched an online Ramadan bazaar site raffle through its official Facebook.
He said, the vote draw session was conducted by area council members to represent traders and the complete list of those who were successful was displayed on the website  http://www.mdhs.gov.my .
In fact, Yang Dipertua Dr Mohd Azhar Mohamed Ali suggested that traders be more proactive and creative in marketing their business through social media or using food delivery services.
