MPHS SANTUNI PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (OKU)
The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) is organizing a Special PWD Award Program by bringing PWD children to Skyworld Genting Highland on 7 December 2022.
A total of 26 children with disabilities participated in this program consisting of Community Rehabilitation Center (PPDK) Hulu Selangor including:
1. Pdk Sg Tengi
2. Deputy Prime Minister Felda Soeharto
3. Pdk Felda Gedangsa
4. Pdk Kalumpang
5. Ppdk Kuala Kubu Bharu
6. Ppdk Puncak Jalinan Kasih
7. Pdk Batang Kali
8. Pdk Sg Choh
9. Pdk Bukit Beruntung
The purpose of this program is to give opportunities and exposure to this group to live life like others by doing physical activities and giving them new experiences and knowledge related to the outside world.
In addition, it also enables social interaction between them by reducing the physical, socio-cultural & psychological barriers that exist between society and the disabled.
At the same time, this kind of program can give awareness to the community about their rights and responsibilities towards the community which is in dire need of proper attention and assistance.
This program also received support and cooperation from several parties such as council members, MPHS and NGO volunteers from the Family of Charity. In addition, McDonald's franchise company also sponsors dinner for this program.
