Ops Sita Recycling Factory (plastic) Without License

The Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) together with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) and the Royal Malaysian Police Bukit Sentosa Branch have conducted an Inspection and Seizure Operation on a plastic recycling factory operating without a license in the Kamunting Industrial Estate, Bukit Sentosa on 6 October 2021.

When arriving at the location, the shutter door of the premises was locked while the back door was closed with a pile of wooden pallets. The operatives have asked for help from one of the nearby factory workers to move the pile of wooden pallets and open the door of the premises involved using a forklift.

After successfully entering the premises, there are no workers inside. The operatives have found 3 forklifts, resin plastic making equipment, several piles of raw materials (plastic) placed in jumbo bags and also 3 finished resin plastic pallets.

Based on the observation and inspection carried out, it was found that this premise is still continuing its operation based on the layout of the equipment, the distribution of raw material waste on the floor used to produce resin plastic products and also the smell of plastic that is still new in the factory. This confiscation action has been taken under Bylaws 3 and 38 of the Trade, Business and Industrial Bylaws (MDHS) 2007.

The inspection and confiscation process carried out is a follow-up to the monitoring carried out by MDHS enforcement personnel on 27/9/2021, at approximately 10.48 am. At that time, the factory carried out plastic recycling activities (making plastic resin) as usual.
