HULU SELANGOR, AUGUST 4: Injection slots without an appointment at the Serendah Community Hall Vaccination Center (PPV) will be increased to 600 per day compared to the current 300.
Dato' Menteri Besar said the move was to launch the injection process thus completing the vaccination rate in Hulu Selangor which currently recorded 60 percent for the first dose.
Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari explained that the plan to add slots has also been submitted by the Hulu Selangor District Health Office to the Covid-19 Immunization Action Body.
"The number of attendance here is quite high, in fact every day about 1,500 doses are given involving individuals who receive an appointment on the MySejahtera application as well as without an appointment," he said.
He who was met after inspecting the PPV involved here today also praised the orderly and smooth vaccination process despite the traffic congestion encountered.
"Yesterday there was news of road congestion, so there may need to be an initiative such as providing a parking space in the nearby school field so that visitors do not have to wait too long," he said.
Serendah Community Hall is among the 10 selected PPVs in the Klang Valley for the provision of vaccines without an appointment through an outreach program to the outskirts of the Klang Valley effective 2 August.
Yesterday, the Coordinating Minister of the National Covid-19 Immunization Program (PICK) Khairy Jamaluddin said PPV Serendah was facing a shortage of supplies due to the large number of recipients.
