WHITE WATER RAFTING WITH SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCERS FROM KAZAKHSTAN AND UZBEKISTAN
The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) received the visit of Social Media influencers from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan who came to this district to experience the pleasure of doing White Water Rafting activities in Kuala Kubu Bharu on 28 February 2023.
The presence of this influencer in Malaysia for 8 days (February 21 - March 1, 2023) is under the Familiarization Trip From Commonwealth Independent State - Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan program in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia Almaty. A total of 5 influencers have been invited, 3 from Uzbekistan and 2 from Kazakhstan, whose total followers reach 3.5 million followers.
This program held by Tourism Malaysia aims to promote interesting tourist places in Malaysia to Central Asian countries which is shown live through the social media platform of influencers from the country in question.
Hulu Selangor was the last destination after they were taken to visit several areas in several states such as Putrajaya, Langkawi, Genting Highland, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. As a district famous for its extreme sports tourism destination, they were brought to experience white water rafting activities in Kuala Kubu Bharu.
The activity which started at 10.00 this morning started with a briefing delivered by Mr. Abdullah Piee (Mr. Pie) as the Operations Director of PieRose Swifter Sdn. Bhd. regarding handling and safety procedures during the activity.
A total of 18 participants from various agencies also took the opportunity to jointly carry out this activity consisting of several agencies such as the Malaysian Civil Defense Force, Police Headquarters, Kuala Kubu Bharu District, Hulu Selangor Recreation Club, Tourism Malaysia, Selangor Tourism and Municipal Council staff Upper Selangor (MPHS).
The activity which lasted for 3 hours ended with a meal while enjoying the beauty of nature before they left for their respective countries. Hopefully this initiative can attract more tourists to come to the Hulu Selangor District in particular and Malaysia in general.
