In conjunction with celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM) 2021, the Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) did not miss out on celebrating it which was held throughout the months of April and May from 23 April 2021 to 28 May 2021.

Various activities that have been organized throughout the WLAM celebration are carried out in the Hulu Selangor District, including the Tree Planting Program that took place from 23 to 25 April 2021. This program is an activity to beautify the urban landscape of Kuala Kubu Bharu. The program ran smoothly and involved a total of 50 participants consisting of MDHS staff and contractors.

On April 24, 2021, with the theme 'Towards the Empowerment of Foodscaping in Cultivating the Landscape and Environment', the Foodscaping Contribution to the Community program by the MDHS Landscape Department took place. This donation in the form of seeds & vegetables is based on the objective of promoting the concept of 'foodscaping' to the public and the community around Hulu Selangor.

The distribution of this contribution has involved as many as 7 areas around Hulu Selangor. This program has the full support of Councilors in each respective zone. A total of 15 MDHS Landscape Department staff have been involved to ensure the program runs smoothly.

The highlight of the WLAM 2021 World Landscape Architecture Month celebration program is the Online Seminar (WEBINAR) which will feature professional panels in the Malaysian landscape industry and the WLAM World Landscape Architecture Month 2021 Opening Ceremony which will take place on 30 April 2021 (Friday). The inauguration will be completed by the Director General of the National Landscape Department (JLN), Mrs. Hajah Rotina binti Mohd Daik.

MDHS President, Dr. Mohd Azhar bin Mohamed Ali said, organizing a program like this aims to promote the Hulu Selangor district at the international level. Apart from that, the Council hopes that by organizing a program like this, it can be used as a platform for interwoven relationships between the community and MDHS in delivering the mission and vision that has been planned.

Among the programs that will take place again are the launch ceremony of the Bukit Beruntung Compost Fertilizer Center and 'Clinic Design' which will involve students from local public universities.
