The Chairman of the Hulu Selangor District Council, Dr. Mohd Azhar bin Mohamed Ali spent more than 1 hour visiting the Ramadan Bazaar Site, Jalan Meranti, Batang Kali on 4 May 2021.
During the visit, YDP MDHS wanted to see for themselves the compliance of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) at the Ramadan Bazaar site in addition to being friendly with the traders and visitors present.
At the same time, donations in the form of SOP compliance equipment such as hand sanitisers, face shields and hats were also given to 47 traders.
The President arrived at the Ramadan Bazaar at around 4.30pm and was greeted by the Deputy President of MDHS, Awaluddin Zakaria and the Director of the Licensing Department, Kamaruzzaman Abdul Rahman. Also present were area councilors Mr. Murali A/L Samee and Mrs. Tan Lai Zhen as well as MDHS directors and department heads.
Dr. Azhar said, "the public should always be aware of the threat of the Covid-19 epidemic which still needs to be contained. Traders as well as the public who visit the Ramadhan bazaar must always comply with the SOP set such as not being complacent and ignoring physical distancing and wearing a face mask properly".
"Alhamdulillah it turns out that visitors and traders are complying with the SOP that has been outlined by MKN", he added. He had the opportunity to buy some food for breaking the fast.
