ENFORCEMENT OPERATION OF ILLEGAL WASTE SITE AT JALAN TELIPOT BUKIT SENTOSA AND AT JALAN PERINDA KENANGA BUKIT BERTENTU
The Department of Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing of the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) has carried out enforcement operations for illegal waste sites in Bukit Sentosa and Bukit Beruntung on 09 March 2023.
A total of 28 members have been involved in the illegal waste enforcement operation involving the MPHS Enforcement Department, the Building Department, the Engineering Department and the Town Planning Department as well as several agencies including the Hulu Selangor Land and District Office (PDTHS) and the Selangor Water Management Board (LUAS).
During the investigation, there were 2 locations of illegal waste sites in areas that were not authorized by the Council. During the operation, there was a building that carried out swiftlet activities that operated without the permission of the Council and built building structures without the permission of the Council, and the construction of dog kennels without the permission of the Council.
The operation continued to Perindustrian Kenanga Bukit Beruntung, and the members found that there were 2 trucks dumping garbage at the illegal dumping site. As a result of the investigation, it was found that the land has the status of road reserve government land. The operator was found at the site and informed that the activity had been carried out for 6 months and had charged RM50/lorry. The MPHS Enforcement Department has seized 2 vehicle units, namely 1 lorry type 3 ton and 1 ton. The seized truck was taken to the Enforcement Department depot in Rasa for storage.
Enforcement action taken at Jalan Telipot Bukit Sentosa:
1) The Building Department issued 2 compounds and 3 notices under the Roads, Drains and Buildings Act 1974 (Act 133)
2) The Enforcement Department issued 2 compounds under the Trade, Business & Industrial Bylaws (MDHS) 2007 and the Bylaws Dog Licensing & Kennels 2007.
3) The Town Planning Department issued 4 notices under the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (Act 172)
4) The Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Department issued 4 notices under the Collection, Disposal and Solid Waste Disposal (MDHS) 2007
At Perindustriya Kenanga Bukit Beruntung:
1) The Enforcement Department seized 2 3 ton and 1 ton lorries under the 2007 Garbage Collection, Disposal and Disposal By-law (MDHS) 2) Selangor
Upland District Office (PDTHS) issued a notice under section 425 of the National Land Code, 1965
