SELANGOR 2023 DENGGI INTEGRATED OPERATION IN UPPER SELANGOR DISTRICT
The Selangor State Government and the Selangor State Health Department are conducting the Selangor Dengue Integrated Operation 2023 as one of the steps in an effort to reduce dengue fever cases in the 4 districts that recorded the highest dengue cases, namely the Klang, Petaling, Hulu Selangor and Hulu Langat districts starting on 15 February 2023 until March 22, 2023.
In the Hulu Selangor District, operations will be concentrated in the residential areas of Kenanga Apartments and Dahlia Apartments, Taman Bunga raya. Some other locations will also be given attention such as Jalan Orkid, Jalan Cempaka and Jalan Bunga Kertas, Bukit Sentosa.
This operation was also assisted by agencies and Local Authorities (PBT) of Selangor namely Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ), Selayang Municipal Council (MPS), Sabak Bernam District Council (MDSB) and Hulu Selangor District Information Department.
Among the activities carried out at the location include Destruction of Breeding Places (PTP), Search and Destroy (SND), Larvaciding and also thermal fog spraying, especially in the hot spots (Hotspot) of the Dengue Epidemic in the Bukit Beruntung area and also in the Bukit Sentosa area.
In addition, the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) in collaboration with the Hulu Selangor District Health Office (PKD) also took the initiative to promote awareness and health education related to dengue fever in a joint-royong program organized by the local community for sporadic cases.
