The announcement of the Selangor Internet Data Program will share the details of the initiative which for the first time offers a SIM card and internet data subscription for free for 12 months to 70,000 eligible Selangor citizens. The Selangor Menteri Besar (Incorporation) will fully fund through an allocation of RM17.5 million.
The target group among Selangor People Tuition Program students and Selangor Foundation borrowers, Selangor Islamic University College students (Kuis), Selangor University (Unisel) and Selangor Technical Development Center (STDC), online traders under Selangor E-Bazar, farmers as well as registered traders will enjoy this initiative.
In fact, traditional village leaders with secretaries, bagan/new village leaders with secretaries, Indian community leaders with secretaries, nazirs, imams, bilal, siak and certified religious speakers will also be provided with this initiative to provide the best service to the community.
The EXCOs responsible for the relevant portfolio will manage the distribution of Selangor Internet Data so that the benefits can be channeled more effectively.
