SHAH ALAM, 21 OCT: The development of Serendah High Value Industrial Park in Hulu Selangor can increase investor confidence in the state, said Dato' Menteri Besar.
The rebranding of the industrial area which is expected to be completed in 2022 combines the modern ecosystem and nature through a wide green network, explained Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
"Efforts to improve and upgrade this industrial area will give innovation to both local and international investors," he said, adding that it is equipped with sustainable facilities to create a positive workplace.
He was speaking in conjunction with the Ceremony of Upholding the Order of His Majesty the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj for the declaration of the Hulu Selangor District Council as a municipality today.
Amirudin added that the Selangor Structural Plan 2035 proposed two clusters of industrial areas in the district that could potentially contribute to the state's economy.
The cluster covers the automotive and support industries in Serendah-Sungai Choh-Bukit Beruntung and selected industries in Beringin Valley-Bernam Jaya, he explained.
"The development of this automotive industry cluster will become the main industrial development cluster thus realizing the nation's transport manufacturing hub.
"This existing industrial cluster is the biggest contributor which is 60.5 percent of the total investment for the industrial sector in Hulu Selangor," he said.
